In San Antonio

Eric flew out to San Antonio on Wednesday, February 17th. There were 12 missionaries that flew down that day.

His mission president sent the picture above to us and let us know that he made it safely down there.

Eric really wanted to be in a place where he can learn Spanish. There are spots in his mission where they speak mostly English.

Well he got sent right to the border. He is in a city called Eagle Pass. Population is about 25K.

His companion is Elder Kellog from Fresno California.

He is in great spirits and doing well.

His address is:
2879 Sanchez Ave. Apt H
Eagle Pass, TX

Chris has been in the MTC since December 8th. He is doing well and has had several great experiences. His Visa is being held up so we are not sure when he will leave for Brazil. Right now he is trying to learn Portuguese and struggling a bit with it. He told us in his last letter that "sometimes I feel that I am really getting it but there are other times that I feel that I haven't learned a thing about the language and it is quite frustrating." I can't imagine how frustrating that must be.
I am sure he would love to hear from all of you he has told us to make sure that "everyone" has his address. I think that mail is one of the few things that ALL missionaries look forward too.
I am looking forward to keeping up on all of these great young men. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Eric Going to Texas San Antionio Spanish Speaking

Eric had his farewell meeting on December 13th and went into the MTC on December 16th.

It was interesting dropping him off at the curb. It took all of about 5 minutes. There were 600 missionaries that went in that day.

We have had a couple letters from him since. He is doing very well. His companion is from California. Jake Harrison, from Logan, is also in his room and going to the same mission.

He said that he sees the other missionaries/friends that left at the same time and prior at the MTC.

If you are interested, you can write him at:
